MAULSARI TREE

Maul sari (Bakula) is a medium sized evergreen tree which is very popular in India for its numerous features.

The flowers are small, creamy and star shaped with a crown rising from the center. The flowers are offered to Lord Ganesha during 21-pushpa puja and used to make necklaces and other ornaments by women because they retain their smell even after they fall from the tree.

It flowers bloom in April whereas fruits develop in June. The Fruits are oval shaped and green in color when raw, and turn yellow on ripening.
