Screw pine (commonly known as Golden Pandanus) is an easy and prolific plant to grow. It produces vibrant green foliage with ivory or golden-yellow stripes. The evergreen plant can grow from 2-10 feet tall when placed in right conditions. It can easily be grown in smaller container for smaller spaces.
Screw pine is drought resistant and can survive irregular watering. It grows best with filtered light as too much direct sunlight can scorch the leaves. Just feed the plant with diluted fertiliser twice a month and watch your plant growing healthy green leaves all around.
Sunlight: Grows best in part shade or Medium indirect light.
Watering: Water regularly during the growing season and gradually reduce when the plant goes dormant.
Pests: Rarely has pest problems.
Fertiliser: feed a good organic fertiliser twice a month during the growing season.
Care tips: Over or under watering can cause leaf tips to turn brown.
