The Cacti has no central stem or leaves. It is a clump forming cactus with thorn less, flat, and elliptical to circular pads. Bunny ear cactus does not develop spines instead it grows glochids, which are short white or whitish brown pickets.

If you are lucky the plant may produce upto 2 inces wide creamy yellow flowers in summer followed by globular purple fruits.
