Bismarckia (West Indian)

Bismarckia Nobilis Palm is a stunning, large silver-blue fan palm that has become increasingly popular in the past ten to twenty years. Bismarckia Palm is a massive tropical palm with a stout trunk and asymmetric huge crown. It grows a single trunk that is smooth on mature specimens, but young individuals retain old leaf base. It is a truly amazing palm from the Indian Ocean island nation of Madagascar.

Common Names: Satra, satrabe, satrana.

Watering: Once established this palm is drought tolerant.

Flower Colour: Gray to tan in colour

Soil: Well-draining.

Fertilizer: Fertilize with a good quality fertiliser thrice a year.
