Asparagus Fern

Asparagus densiflorus commonly known as asparagus fern or simply fern. It is normally grown in hanging baskets, decorating the deck or patio in summer and helping to clean indoor air in winters.

The freckly, feathery asparagus fern plant appears soft and fussy, but when taking care of asparagus fern you may be surprised to find they have thorny spurs. Asparagus fern can quickly fill your container with medium, green, cascading foliage.

Asparagus fern can provide small flowers and berries when it is happy in its location, but don’t try to eat them (poisonous), instead sow the seed to propagate your asparagus fern plant.
